Dr. Sam Gilani

Periodontics & Implantology

Dr. Sam Gilani is a specialist periodontist and implant surgeon with more than three decades of clinical practice. He earned his Master of Science in Oral Biology at UCLA and completed his specialty training in periodontics — building a practice that pairs academic depth with advanced surgical implantology.

He has served on the faculty of the UCLA School of Dentistry as a clinical instructor in periodontics since 1989, and has been a member of the medical staff at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center since 1992 — a combination of university teaching and hospital affiliation that few specialists in private practice hold.

A Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI), Dr. Gilani is recognized as an early adopter of minimally invasive implant techniques, periodontal microsurgery, bone grafting, and guided tissue regeneration. Across his career he has placed more than 20,000 dental implants and has lectured internationally, mentoring a new generation of dental surgeons.
